Welcome to the Hackettstown First Aid & Rescue Squad web site.
The Town of Hackettstown is a thriving community in northern New Jersey, located primarily on Route
46, midway between Mt. Olive Township, Washington Township & Independence Township. It is the
home of about 11000 residents as well as Centenary College which was founded back in 1867.
The Hackettstown First Aid & Rescue Squad proudly serves it's community living in an area of 3.5 square
miles. We operate out of one station that protects a primarily residential area. Our squad is a public
volunteer organization whose members receive no compensation for their time. We respond to an average
of 750 to 850 calls each year. Our service is 100% free
The Hackettstown First Aid & Rescue Squad was formed in 1951.
The Rescue Squad has an active youth squad program to help build interest in the medical field. Young
adults ages 16 - 18 are encouraged to join the Rescue Squad.
The Rescue Squad is also supported by the Ladies Auxiliary.
We want to thank the community for it's continued support of our fund drives, and would encourage them
to come and be a part of a team that has been serving the members of Hackettstown for over 50 years.
